As a professional organizer here in Tampa, I work with clients every week who are ready to let go of clutter… but they also want to feel good about where their items are going. I have made it my mission to support my clients, while creating room for what matters and giving their items a second life in a meaningful way.

And honestly? I feel the same way. I just finished my huge neighborhood garage sale and filled my pickup truck. Watch out world if you are ever driving behind me! I’m very intentional about where I donate, and I always try to support organizations that are truly making a difference right here in our local community. Giving is my love language!!
So, if you're decluttering this spring and wondering where your items should go… here are my go-to donation spots in the Tampa area.
My Go-To Tampa Donation Locations:
Lighthouse Ministries (My #1 Recommendation)
This is hands down my favorite place to donate.
I love their mission and the way they support individuals and families through housing, food programs, and job assistance. When I donate here, I know my items are truly helping people rebuild their lives.
What to know:

Accepts most household items and clothing
Does not accept baby items
Furniture acceptance can vary depending on the time of year
Flexible donation hours, open every weekday
ECHO (Emergency Care Help Organization)

ECHO is such a special organization and one I love supporting—especially when I’m organizing bathrooms and linen closets.
Their resource center accepts:
Toiletries (even opened items!)
Bathroom supplies
Hygiene products
Clothing
These go directly to women and children, including those escaping domestic abuse and families working to get back on their feet.
They also have a thrift store that accepts clothing and household items.
****** Furniture Donations: New Life Warehouse & The Spring **********
New Life Warehouse
One of my top recommendations for furniture

Supports families transitioning out of homelessness
Offers donation pick-up in certain service areas
The Spring
Supports survivors of domestic violence
Furniture donations help families rebuild safe, comfortable homes

SPCA Florida (For Pet Donations)
When decluttering, don’t forget about your furry friends.
I love donating:
Pet food
Blankets
Towels
Old bedding
These items make a huge difference for animals waiting for their forever homes.

Additional Places I Donate (As Needed)
These are places I donate to every few months when I’ve gathered enough items:
Foster closets
Homeless shelters
Nursing homes
Even small donations to these places can have a big impact.
A Quick Reminder During Spring Cleaning
Decluttering isn’t just about getting rid of things—it’s about being intentional.
Your items can:
Help a family start over
Support someone during a difficult transition
Comfort an animal
Restore dignity and hope
